Car rental for foreigners in Kyiv
What you need to rent a car in Kyiv with foreign documents: passport, licence, deposit, payment, and delivery. It’s simple; the process takes 15 minutes.
Foreign passport and national driver’s licence with Latin letters. If the licence uses another alphabet, an International Driving Permit (IDP) is also required. Age from 20 years, experience from 2 years.
Prices are in US dollars; the site has a switch for euros and hryvnias. Payment by Visa or Mastercard, cash on delivery, or bank transfer.
Deposit depends on car class and is blocked on your card, returned within 1–3 days. Full insurance (CASCO) and third-party liability included, your liability limited to deposit.
Ukraine’s airports are currently closed; most guests arrive by train from Poland. We deliver cars free to Kyiv-Pasazhyrskyi station, hotels, or any Kyiv address.

At the station, hotel, or office. We sign the contract, record the car’s condition with photos, block the deposit, and hand over the keys.
- 4Return the car
At a convenient location in Kyiv. We inspect the car and unblock the deposit within 1–3 days.
Traffic rules you should know
- Right-hand traffic; seat belts are mandatory for all passengers.
- Speed limits: 50 km/h in cities, 90 outside, 110 on car roads, 130 on motorways.
- Daytime headlights are mandatory from 1 October to 1 May outside populated areas.
- Permissible blood alcohol level is zero. Penalties include fines and licence suspension.
- Children under 145 cm must use a child seat. We provide seats free on request.
- During martial law, a curfew applies: check current hours with the manager before night trips.
- Air raid alert: stop in a safe place and use the “Air Raid Alert” app with English interface.
- Fines for violations are paid by the renter; we send a copy of the fine via messenger.
