Accident, Breakdown, or Fine with a Rental Car: Step-by-Step Guide
Road troubles are rare, but when they happen, you need to act quickly and correctly. Save this guide: most situations can be resolved with just one call to us.
Accident
- Turn on the hazard lights and place the emergency stop sign 20–30 meters behind the car (40 meters outside the city).
- Do not move the car before the police arrive if there are no injuries and the car is not blocking traffic.
- Call us — we are available 24/7 — and dial 102. We will notify the police and the insurance company.
- Photograph the scene, both vehicles, license plates, and the other driver’s documents.
- Do not sign any papers or make any agreements "on the spot" without our approval.
Our manager and the insurance company will handle the paperwork from there. Your liability is limited to the deposit amount.
Breakdown or Flat Tire
Stop in a safe place, turn on the hazard lights, and call us. We will arrange a tow truck and provide a replacement car of the same class — within a few hours in Kyiv. We cover towing costs in case of a technical failure.
Traffic Violation Fine
Camera fines are sent to the car owner, which is us, usually within 2–4 weeks. We send a copy via messenger and reissue the fine to the renter along with a $10 service fee. If the police stop you on the road, the fine is issued to you personally.
Keys, Documents, Fuel
Lost your keys or documents? Call us, and we’ll deliver a spare set. Used the wrong fuel? Don’t start the engine, call us immediately. The blocked deposit does not cover fuel, so please return the car with the same fuel level as when rented.
What’s Included in the Rental Price
24/7 support, towing in case of breakdown, replacement car, comprehensive and third-party liability insurance. All phone numbers and messengers are listed in the contract and booking confirmation.
